FAQ
Eyebrow Aftercare & Healing Expectations
Your new brows are an investment—how you care for them in the first few weeks will directly impact their color, shape, and longevity. Whether you’ve had Microblading, Powder Brows, or Combo Brows, following these post-care instructions is essential for optimal healing and lasting results.

First 7 Days: Critical Healing Phase
- Keep the brow area completely dry—no water, lotions, soaps, or makeup should touch your brows.
- Gently cleanse around your face, avoiding direct contact with your brow area. If showering, tilt your head back or opt for a bath to avoid water runoff.
- Itching, flaking, and light scabbing are normal. Do not pick or scratch, as this can lead to pigment loss, patchiness, or scarring.
After Day 4: Light Moisture Support
- With clean hands, apply your recommended aftercare ointment using a cotton swab, morning and night—but only a very thin layer.
- Continue ointment use for 7 days, but avoid overapplying. The skin needs to breathe to heal properly.
For 14 Days, Avoid the Following:
- Excessive sweating or intense workouts
- Swimming, hot tubs, or saunas
- Sunbathing or tanning beds
- UV exposure and chemical skin treatments (Retin-A, peels, glycolic acid, etc.)
- Picking, peeling, or scratching the treated area
- Dirty environments (e.g., garage or basement cleaning with airborne debris)
- Heavy alcohol consumption
- Riding open-air vehicles like motorcycles, boats, or convertibles
- Touching the brow area, except when applying ointment with clean hands
If You Experience Any of the Following, Contact Us or a Physician Immediately:
- Fever or flu-like symptoms
- Redness, swelling, or warmth around the brow area
- Foul-smelling or colored discharge
- Red streaks spreading outward from the treated area
What to Expect During the Healing Process
The full healing cycle takes approximately 4–6 weeks, and your brows will go through several natural stages:
- Immediately After: Brows will appear bold, dark, and sharply defined. This is normal.
- Days 2–5: Pigment may appear darker before it begins to flake.
- Days 5–10: Expect flaking or peeling similar to dry skin or dandruff. Do not pick.
- Days 10–14: Brows may appear light or patchy—this is part of the regeneration process.
- Week 4: Color softens and settles into its true tone. Final shape and tone may still adjust slightly through Week 6.
Week 6: A touch-up is typically recommended to perfect the results and address any areas that may have faded unevenly.
Long-Term Maintenance
Once healed:
- Apply SPF 30–50 to your brows daily when exposed to the sun to prevent premature fading.
- Avoid applying foundation directly over your brows, as this may make them appear lighter.
We know you’ll love your fresh, polished new look—and with proper aftercare, your brows will continue to turn heads for months to come.
If you have any concerns during your healing, don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re here to support you every step of the way.
Lip blush pre care Instructions
Your Lips Must Not Be Dry
- If your lips are dry, flaking, or compromised on the day of your appointment, your procedure will be rescheduled and your deposit will be forfeited.
- It’s your responsibility to properly prep your lips in the days leading up to your session.
3 Days Before Your Appointment: Exfoliate
Gently exfoliate your lips to remove any dry or dead skin. You can use a store-bought lip scrub or make your own:
DIY Lip Scrub Recipe
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp olive oil or coconut oil
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
Massage gently in circular motions, rinse, and pat dry.
Daily for 7 Days Before Your Appointment: Hydrate
- Keep your lips moisturized at all times leading up to your appointment.
- We recommend using Aquaphor or another thick, hydrating balm.
- Drink plenty of water and avoid licking or peeling your lips.
Cold Sore Prevention (Must Read)
Lip tattooing can trigger cold sore outbreaks, even in clients who’ve never had one before.
- If you have a history of cold sores, you must obtain a prescription antiviral (such as Valacyclovir or Acyclovir) from your doctor and begin taking it prior to your procedure.
- If you’ve never had a cold sore, we still recommend taking L-Lysine supplements starting 2 weeks before your appointment and continuing for 2 weeks after to help reduce your risk.
Your comfort, safety, and healed results matter to us. Proper lip prep is essential for a smooth experience and a beautiful outcome. If you have questions about prep or need help determining if you’re ready, don’t hesitate to reach out.
Lip Blush Aftercare Instructions
Caring for your lips post-treatment is just as important as the procedure itself. Proper aftercare ensures beautiful, long-lasting results and supports your skin through every stage of healing. Please read and follow the instructions below carefully for the best outcome.

Day 1: Immediately After Your Appointment
Your lips will likely feel tight, dry, tender, and appear more vibrant in color. Mild swelling is completely normal.
- For the first 4 hours, gently blot your lips with a clean tissue or paper towel to remove lymph buildup.
- After 4 hours, begin applying a thin layer of Aquaphor (or provided ointment) and continue to keep your lips lightly moisturized.
- Avoid kissing, touching, or friction of any kind on the treated area.
Days 1–3: Protect & Soothe
- Reapply ointment several times per day to prevent dryness or cracking.
- Keep lips moisturized at all times.
- Avoid spicy, oily, or highly seasoned foods. Drink only with a straw.
- After eating, gently rinse with water, pat dry, and immediately reapply ointment.
Days 4–7: Peeling Phase
- Expect your lips to naturally exfoliate and peel during this time. Color may lighten by 30–50%.
- Do not pick or peel the skin—let it slough off naturally to avoid pigment loss or scarring.
- Continue applying ointment as needed to maintain moisture.
Week 2: Softened Color
- Peeling is complete, and the color may appear lighter or faded—this is normal.
- Pigment will gradually resurface and settle over the next several weeks.
- You may return to your usual skincare and makeup routine but continue to keep lips hydrated.
Weeks 6–8: Fully Healed & Fabulous
- Your lips are fully healed and ready to show off!
- Most clients require a perfecting session at 6–8 weeks to refine shape and color.
- Apply a hydrating balm or gloss and enjoy your enhanced pout with confidence!
For 14 Days Post-Treatment, Avoid:
- Intense sweating or vigorous exercise
- Swimming, saunas, steam rooms, or hot tubs
- Direct sun exposure or tanning beds
- UV light treatments or facial peels
- Harsh skincare products (e.g., Retin-A, glycolic acid) near the lips
- Kissing, rubbing, or touching the treated area (except with clean hands & cotton swab)
- Picking, peeling, or exfoliating the area
- Heavy cleaning in dusty environments (e.g., garages or basements)
- Excessive alcohol, which can slow healing
- Driving or riding in open-air vehicles (convertibles, motorcycles, boats)
When to Seek Medical Attention
While complications are rare, please contact us or a physician immediately if you notice:
- Fever or chills
- Redness, swelling, or warmth at the treated area
- Yellow or green discharge with odor
- Red streaks spreading from the procedure site
- Any signs of infection or allergic reaction
Your healing journey is just as important as the artistry behind it. Follow these aftercare instructions closely for soft, defined, and beautifully healed lips. If you have any questions or concerns during the healing process, we’re only a message away.
Long-Term Brow Care & Maintenance
Your brows are a long-term investment, and how you care for them after the initial healing phase will directly affect their appearance, longevity, and color retention.
While we use the highest quality pigments and precision techniques, results will vary from client to client based on skin type, lifestyle, and both short- and long-term aftercare.
To protect and preserve your brows, we recommend the following:
- Always apply SPF 50 to your
brows when exposed to the sun. UV rays cause premature fading and may
alter pigment tone.
We love the CeraVe SPF 50 Stick—it’s the perfect size for brow protection. - Avoid chemical exfoliants (e.g., AHAs, BHAs, Retinols) on or around the brows. These will cause fading over time.
- Never undergo laser treatments (IPL, BBL, HALO, ProFractional, etc.) directly over your brows. Laser energy can change the color of your brow pigment or cause patchy fading.
- As your brow tattoo fades naturally, the strokes will soften and become less defined—this is normal.
- Regular touch-ups are essential to maintain color and shape. Most clients schedule maintenance every 12–24 months, depending on skin type and lifestyle.
- Hairstroke (microbladed) brows typically last 1–3 years, with combo and powder brows often lasting a bit longer.
Pro tip: Healthy skin = longer-lasting results. Stay hydrated, moisturize regularly, and follow all aftercare instructions to enjoy beautiful brows for years to come.
Eyeliner post procedure instructions
Following your procedure, it’s completely normal to experience fading, patchiness, or uneven color during the first few weeks. The skin is still healing and working to regenerate. For most clients, pigment will resurface and settle around 30 days, but for mature skin, this process can take up to 8–12 weeks.
The final result will be subtle and natural—designed to enhance your features, not overpower them.
First 10 Days: Cleansing & Care Instructions
For the best healing and color retention:
- Clean the treated area gently twice daily (morning and night) using the eyewash and soap provided in your aftercare kit.
- With eyes closed, cleanse gently using clean fingertips and lukewarm water.
- Blot dry with a clean tissue—do not rub with a towel or cloth.
- Apply a very small amount of ointment (about half a grain of rice total, split between both eyes).
- Using the provided microswabs, gently massage ointment into the area for about 10 seconds. Blot off excess immediately to avoid buildup.
- The area should not feel greasy or oily. Skin must be able to breathe to heal properly.
- Avoid getting ointment into the eyes, as it may cause irritation or stinging.
- Sleep with your head slightly elevated for the first few nights to minimize swelling.
Healing Timeline & Touch-Up Policy
- It is normal for pigment to fade 30–40% and appear lighter during healing.
- A full healing cycle must be completed before assessing the final result—this may take 4–6 weeks for most clients, or up to 12 weeks for mature skin.
- Touch-ups are recommended between 8–16 weeks after your initial appointment to perfect the shape, color, and overall result.
Every Client Heals Differently
Some clients may retain pigment beautifully with minimal fading, while others may require more than one session for optimal results. Every body is different—and we honor that.
Most clients benefit from one perfecting session, while others may wish to schedule an additional touch-up if needed. If you’re unsure, feel free to contact us or book a follow-up—we’re here to help you achieve your desired results.
What to Avoid During Healing
Proper aftercare is non-negotiable when it comes to the success of your permanent makeup. Please follow these guidelines strictly to protect your investment and avoid complications.
- Do not pick, scratch, or peel the tattooed area at any time. Let any flaking or scabbing fall off naturally.
- Use ointment sparingly and take care not to get any product into your eyes. A little goes a long way.
- Do not let the treated area dry out completely, as this can lead to cracking or excessive scabbing.
- Avoid touching the treated area with your fingers—bacteria from your hands can lead to infection.
- Do not apply creams, lotions, or makeup directly to the tattooed area until fully healed.
- Refrain from facial services such as eyelash tinting, lifting, or perming during healing.
- Avoid abrasive fabrics and materials, including rough towels or washcloths.
- No hot baths, saunas, or steam rooms during the healing phase.
- Avoid swimming, tanning (natural or tanning beds), and direct sun exposure.
- Skip hot yoga and high-intensity workouts for at least 10 days. Light/moderate exercise is okay.
- No makeup on or around the treated area for at least 5 days. If you choose to wear makeup sooner, you do so at your own risk.
If Scabbing Occurs:
Small scabs may form. Do not pick at them—they will shed naturally within a few days. Picking can result in loss of pigment, patchiness, or scarring.
Eyeliner Information
Post-Treatment Healing & Skin Sensitivity
Following your procedure, your skin will be temporarily sensitized, and proper aftercare is essential to promote healing, prevent infection, and ensure the best possible results.
Please adhere to the following guidelines for the next 7–10 days:
Avoid Makeup on or Around the Treated Area
- We strongly recommend avoiding all makeup on the treated area during the full 7–10 day healing period.
- If you choose to wear makeup within the first 5 days, you do so at your own risk. Applying makeup too soon may introduce bacteria, delay healing, and compromise your results.
What to Expect During Healing
- It’s completely normal for minor scabbing or flaking to occur. This is a natural part of the healing process.
- Do not pick, peel, or pull at any scabs. Allow them to fall off naturally—premature removal can lead to loss of pigment and uneven results.
Important Note
If excessive pigment loss occurs due to improper aftercare (e.g., picking or early makeup application), an additional fee will apply for reworking or correcting the area during your touch-up session. There are no implied or written guarantees on healed results if aftercare is not followed. Should signs of infection occur (swelling, heat, discharge, fever), seek medical attention immediately and notify us.
